The food was local and included bread, pastries and yoghourt. The room itself was a nice size and normal double with comfortable bath. Location: the hotel was next to beach and restaurants, the beach and bars/restaurants and the St Malo ferry port to Portsmouth.
The staff - some of them were appalling.

This hotel is a hidden gem, tucked away in a lovely secluded large garden. It offers excellent facilities and has a nice view in the garden. The rooms are beautifully decorated with typical features and have a narrow sleeping space. The breakfast is a highlight, with homemade preserves, pastries, and yoghurt to die for. And the best part? The proper French coffee, not made from an Espresso machine.
The only small downside was the weak WiFi signal, but with such a charming and peaceful setting, it was hardly a concern.

We had a pleasant stay in a charming 18th century mansion. The rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated in a shabby chic style. The view of the front garden from our room was lovely, and we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The location was great, with restaurants, supermarkets, and cafes nearby. It was also a short walk to the touristy area. The locals were friendly and made an effort to understand our non-French language.
Finding the hotel was a bit tricky as it was tucked away on a one-way street. A detailed street map would have been helpful.
